“This Is My First Final” – Arsenal Star Buzzing for Wembley Clash vs Man City!

Arsenal BuzzBy Arsenal BuzzMarch 21, 2026

Bukayo Saka was recently interviewed by Paul Merson at Sky Sports ahead of Arsenal’s Carabao Cup final against Manchester City at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. Here’s what the Gunners star had to say regarding the League Cup final!

on the Carabao Cup final: “I’ve been involved in some, but I didn’t play for Arsenal. So this is going to be my first, and I’ve come through the academy and to be in this position now. I’m very excited, the prospect of winning at Wembley on the weekend and celebrating that with the fans.”

on if Arsenal win the Carabao Cup will it be a massive psychological boost for the Premier League?: “That’s a good question. For me, I think it’s just a final. I think separate from the Premier League, we’re not going to play Premier League now for a few weeks, obviously, with the final and the (international) break. So we’ll have enough time to reset, refresh and focus on it. We’re just approaching it as a final, and we just want to win.”

on if he’s nervous for the Carabao Cup final: “I know the responsibilities I have and how much this club means to me. When I start to go down that direction and think of it that way, naturally, you’ll start to feel more nervous.  So I try to block those thoughts out and just try and enjoy it and play football, do what I’m good at, and the rest will take care of itself.”
