Arsenal are expected to be active in the summer transfer window across multiple positions, with attacking reinforcements, full-back cover, and midfield additions all on the club’s agenda, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer journalist confirmed that the Gunners will strengthen up front, though whether that means a winger, a striker, or both remains unclear at this stage. Romano stopped short of specifying a position, saying the club’s exact approach in the final third is yet to be determined.
“Are Arsenal going to sign a winger in the summer? My answer is still: They will add something up front. We will see whether it’s going to be a winger or a striker. We will see. But for sure Arsenal will be busy up front in the summer.”
Romano added: “I expect an important summer for Arsenal because they have things to do at the full back position, midfield, and up front. So for Arsenal, it will still be a very interesting summer after an excellent job they did in summer 2025.”
Romano’s comments follow his earlier update ruling out a move for PSG winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, suggesting Arsenal’s focus up front will be directed elsewhere.
